I am fixing a switch and this is my first time fixing a switch OLED and I needed to replace the BQ chip and I tour a trace on Pin 21 which is Btst. I have no idea where this pinout goes to, and if someone can help me with where I can run a jumper
P.S. Yes I know a few capacitors are missing. I removed them to try and make it easier to work on in that area. I’m still new to soldering so still learning.
Hi there, thank you for your response, yes, I do have the cap, but the problem is the trace where the cap goes to the BQ chip is missing because it tore. My question is, does that trace go directly from the BQ chip to the cap, Or does that trace go somewhere else besides the cap? I uploaded a photo yesterday of the torn pad. If I run a jumper from the cap to the BQ chip on that Pin 21 is that the only thing I would need or does that trace go somewhere else on the board. Sorry, I hope what I’m saying. Makes sense.
The BTST pin is only connected to the cap which goes to SW line.
