XBox One doesn’t recognize only XB1 discs

We’ve had an XB1 original for many years. Lately it stopped recognizing only XB1 game discs. It is capable of reading XB360 games and BluRay movies. We’ve tried dozens of discs, and only the XB1 game discs fail, others are fine. When an XB1 disc is loaded, nothing happens, no error messages. It acts like no disc is loaded. When starting an XB1 game from the library with respective disc loaded, it says to load the disc. Could there be some physical reason only one type of disc fails? This doesn’t sound like cleaning rollers or laser would fix. Is there a specific component on a board that may have burnt out?

Xbox 360 discs are DVDs and xbox one discs are blu-ray different types of lasers and hardware inside the drive
