Xbox One Original

Trying to replace the original 1Tb WD hard drive with an SSD. Current Firmware version on the console is 26100.1969.amd64fre.xb_fit2408ge.240904-1200. I have donwloaded all 3 OSU files. First I have tried was just swapping out the drive, inserting the NTFS formatted USB stick with OSU 1 on it. Booted up console and it comes to the troubleshooter menu. Did a factory reset wiping all data. On the reboot again went to troubleshooting menu and then chose to do offline system update. Almost immediately get a System Error E101 00000503 80070003. Tried rebooting and trying multiple times. Same thing. I then tried booting with the OSU2 and OSU3 files and no luck there either. I then brought the drive in and on my windows machine did an fdisk clean, created the primary partition, quick formatted to NTFS, and assigned the drive. Put it back in the machine and tried to get going again with OSU1 and still getting the same error. I have tried a PNY drive and a T-Force Vulcan, both of which have been confirmed to work at least in the reviews on Amazon.

Kinda running out of ideas here. Was thinking of trying another SATA cable to see if something is goofy there but…I kinda doubt it.

Any thoughts.

Seems like your Xbox doesn’t like this SSD.
