Hello people! Like the title says… My xbox one x works well in 4k but not in hdr (black screen).
One day i came back from vacations and the console was black screen but it worked. If i deactivate de hdr from the tv the console works fine. First i think that the tv was the problem so i bought a second 4k hdr tv and was exactly the same. I cant send it to repair or use the warranty because the console came from the US and i’m from Argentina.
What can i do??
Repair it my self? (no experience). Play without hdr? =(
Or wait to the next generation??
It’s most likely the retimer chip on the motherboard. I fixed a very similar problem by replacing it.

Does this mean his re-timer chip isn’t completely dead? Being able to display 4k is still pretty “taxing” on the components, so if the chip can’t go to HDR the chip must be partially working, other he would get no video output, correct?
