Hey guys I was wondering if I ruined my WiFi board for good or the console itself. I replaced the hard drive cause it was failing causing the black screen of death. Anyways I put the WiFi board on backwards and smoke came out but I unplugged instantly. this console tricked my mind cause of it being upside down… and now I get no WiFi to the console but my controllers still sync up.

I had the same problem, I placed the receiver incorrectly, smoke came out, disconnected it and now I’m dead, order another unit, I will verify that it is only that component that has the problem, or something else is damaged.
