Switch Lite no Power not Charging

Hello everyone, I need some help. I bought a faulty Switch Lite at a low price and I’m trying to fix it. It has no power and won’t charge. I noticed a short at that CAP / inductor? marked on D. At points A and B, I measure 15V using the official Nintendo charger. At point C, I measure 150 mV and its shorted to ground. I have already replaced the M92T and BQ chips, but the issue persists. Thanks in advance.

Another detail: the battery measures 3.5V, but when I connect it to the board, the voltage drops to 2.1V and do not charge.

I found that this tiny BGA chip was causing the short. After removing it, the board appears to be fine, with no shorts. Can you help identify what this chip is?

thats a “+ALJ”= MAX8969EWL53+T voltage regulator ic for 5v, what’s your C point resistance to ground before and after remove that chip?

The resistence to ground is 0,6 Ohms with the chip soldered to the board. Black probe on ground and red probe on the point you mentioned (C).

Update: The point C has 1k Ohms resistance to ground without the chip on the board. Do i have to solder it back on the right postion or it does not matter. Can you provide a picture with it positioned on the board? I got a new replacement chip @jkyoho

you should look for the hint from the pointer on motherboard as well

Update: I replaced the chip, but the console still won’t turn on or charge. There are no shorts on the board, and everything appears to be in the correct place. The battery reads 3.7V, and I took some measurements at random test points—some show 1.5V and others 1.3V. Maybe that’s a good sign; at least there seems to be some indication of life on the motherboard. What should I check next?

I also replaced the USB-C port, although it was working before. Since the battery is charged, I would expect the console to power on. What should I check next?
